Your wedding is unique. At most events, you are either the host or the guest of honor. Your wedding on the other hand is different because you are both.

Being the host of an event means you know the ins and outs of the whole shindig. You can be asked questions, pulled away and even trouble shoot without it affecting the outcome of the guests' enjoyment of the event.

Guest of honor means you are simply enjoying what's happening. You mingle with your guest. You are not concerned with what's going on behind the scenes. Your job is to simply enjoy the festivities and the company.

Be sure everything is in order and that there is clear communication with the vendors and with volunteer help before your wedding day so that you can just focus on getting married. This day happens only one time, one day and it's done. I don't want you to look back and say I should have just hired a wedding planner or hired better more competent vendors. Choose capable people that can be delegated for tasks. People you feel you can trust. Then on your big day you won't have to concern yourself with the details.
